In the morning, an air-conditioned coach will pick you up at your hotel in Aswan. Accompanied by a guide, you will be taken to the Kom Ombo Temple , located on the Nile about 50 km north of Aswan.
Built in the Greco-Roman era, Kom Ombo is home to an unusual double temple. The temple on the right is dedicated to the crocodile god, Sobek, while the temple on the left was in honor of Haroeris. Each temple has its own entrance, courtyard, halls and shrine. The temple is supposed to change color after the sunset.
Further on, go to the Temple of Edfu built in sandstone during the Ptolemaic period. The temple is dedicated to the falcon god, Horus. It is the best preserved temple in Egypt and beautifully constructed, offering wonderful use of natural sunlight. The temple contains a nilometer, windows and wells, including a variety of battle and religious inscriptions on the walls. Two statues of hawks are located at the entrance of the temple. The interior includes a library, a cloakroom, a laboratory, a treasure room, a hall, a sanctuary and other rooms.
After exploring the temple sites, you will return to your hotel in Aswan.
